Oh yes, Found Fanatics. We’re BACK!
It’s time for a scene-by-scene recap of Found Season 2 Episode 17, and if you want a full review of the episode, you can check it out right here.
But for now, I’m hydrated, buried under covers, and ready to unpack what’s happening with Gabi and the crew in “Missing While Manipulated,” directed by Mark-Paul Gosselaar himself!
We open with my favorite ride-or-die duo, Dhan and Gabi. They’re in her basement, and he’s trying to figure out how exactly the last missing persons ended up in Gabi’s basement. It’s the million-dollar question.

Gabi also says that Jamie is M.I.A, and Margaret can’t find them. Red flags everywhere!
They don’t have actual proof that Jamie was there or if he was behind leaving this person there. Dhan reaches out to his contacts to apply pressure because we all know he’ll do anything for Gabi.
Meanwhile, Margaret is trying to get Trent to look into Jamie’s absence, worried about him disappearing again. He’s the one to tell Margaret about Jamie being at Gabi’s house and possibly putting their last victim there and that Gabi didn’t want to tell her anything unless she had proof.

Someone slips Trent the information that Jamie went to see Sir the previous night. And now it’s getting juicy because Margaret takes herself down to the prison to talk to Sir.
But Sir is reading her for filth about turning her back on Gabi when she finds out the secret. He says everything about Jamie and that he found love in a happier home. Sir is so SAVAGE. He said he’d tell her everything if she gets Gabi up there. Sir is looking for Gabi yet again and needs his fix.

Heather and Trent talk to each other outside the gates when he and Margeret exit, and they try to act like they could ever stand a chance as a couple. Trent wants her to stop repping, Sir, and Heather is like, “Nah,” so I don’t know how this is going to work, but Heather wants to get drinks later.
Margeret returns to the office, and when she tries to talk to Gabi, a man, Montgomery Clark, walks into the office and blames Gabi for going to prison. He says his son is missing now, and he pulls a gun out and says that she needs to help him find his son.
WHY IS THERE NO SECURITY AT M&A?! THIS IS RIDICULOUS!
Montogomery doesn’t want to lose the gun, and Gabi talks Zeke down from calling the cops. But he does call Dhan and Gabi, who head to Zeke’s place. They’re freaking out.
Montgomery got off for good behavior. He went to prison for abusing his child.

Montogmery locks them inside the building and tells them that his brother is struggling and cannot take care of Jaylen.
He notices that the cameras are watching and puts the gun to Margaret’s head, threatening to shoot her. Margaret is terrified, and so am I. Why is this so stressful already?!
Zeke finally shows himself and assures Montgomery that he’s already looking for Jayeln, but the trail ran cold four years ago. Montgomery gets worked up again when Zeke mentions that Jaylen went to the hospital with third-degree burns. He shoots the camera out, but she gives Dhan a hint of what to do next.

Montgomery talks about how his wife Dahlia may have been postpartum and had severe depression. She didn’t connect with the baby and pulled away from him. He filed for divorce from her when he saw she wasn’t able to take care of the baby.
This prompts Margaret to have a flashback to 2010 and how she was suffering from depression. The house is a mess; she’s burning dinner, she’s irritable, and she admits that she was yelling at the girls. She goes off on him, and her husband tells her that he needs to give the girls normalcy and stability and that he and the girls are leaving.

Margaret says she only has so much fight left and it’s for Jamie.
Montgomery explains that he wasn’t hurting Jaylen when Gabi found him for Dahlia. She admits that she messed up when he pulled the gun on her and threatened to shoot her again.
Margaret also reasons with him. Dhan and Lacey go speak to Jaylen’s grandparents, who initially refuse to help because they think Monty is a monster. Dhan assumes that they didn’t like Monty because they come from money and he doesn’t, but they say it’s because he threw scalding water on their grandson.
They took over Jaylen’s care, but Dahlia and Jaylen took off a couple of months ago. Margaret and Gabi talk to Norma, Dahlia’s best friend, about where she’s at. She says Dahlia probably took off to run away from Monty. Norma shares how terrible Monty was to Dahlia, which makes him angry.

Zeke freaks out because he can hear that Monty is escalating and wants to find Trent. They find out that Trent found Jamie, and they’re outside M&A. Dhan tries to stop them from going in by lying, but Trent doesn’t buy it, and Jamie says his mother’s phone is pinging from inside.
Dhan breaks down and tells them the truth, and Trent wants to call in for backup. Meanwhile, Jamie freaks out about his mother being in there with a possible killer. Margaret hears Jamie calling out for her and wants to get to him. She races to the door, prompting Monty to pull on the trigger, stopping Margaret in her tracks.

Gabi sands between Monty and Margret, begs him to let Margaret go as he can understand her position and promises to stay. There’s too much adrenaline flowing right now!
Margaret reunites with Jamie but Dhan and Trent freak out that Gab is still inside. They hate each other, but what they’re always united on is Gabi, so the Crashout Twins are ready to take action as Dhan unlocks a case in his trunk full of weapons and other such goodies.

M&A argues over what to do next, and Jamie wants to be the voice of reason by asking what Gabi would want. They fall back to allow things to play out as Gabi wants. Gabi tells him through the audio that they’re working on the case, and finally, they get to show up onscreen.
They investigate Monty’s friend Marlon. His records show that Dahlia was paying him regularly, which is off. Dhan says he’ll look into it, and Jamie offers some input, prompting Dhan to invite him along. Margaret is grateful for this.
They really have Jamie as the Scrappy-Doo of M&A.
Jamie opens up to Dhan and says that he was at Gabi’s house last night because he wanted to apologize to her for being an ass to her. He swears he had nothing to do with Peter in her basement.
Jamie makes all the excuses, and Dhan tells him that he trusts Jamie is her son because he saw him risking his life for Margaret the same way he would for Gabi. He doesn’t need DNA tests for that.

I’m glad you don’t need them, Dhan, but I do!
Trent goes to see Sir. Sir is all jokes until he realizes that Trent is freaking out and asking him about how to sneak into Gabi’s office undetected. Sir surmises that Gabi is in trouble, and he threatens that if anything happens to Gabi, it’s on Trent. He literally threatened Trent’s life. Oh, Sir.
Flashbacks show someone who was very kind to Margaret and offered to be her family. She still promises to help Margaret look. She gives her sage advice about friendship.

Margaret thinks about that and feels guilty about abandoning Gabi there. Zeke asks her how she and Gabi became such good friends when they met on Jamie’s case. She talks about the origins of their friendship and how they connected, and it’s enough to make a girl cry.
Zeke speaks about how Gabi made him feel safe in an online support group, prompting Margaret to come up with a plan. Margaret tells Gabi to let down her walls and get Monty to trust her the same way she did with them.

She opens up to Monty about Sir and her trauma, which is what she was thinking about when saving Jaylen that day. She apologizes to him. He breaks down crying, saying he replayed that over and over again.
He’s been afraid for Jaylen’s safety because bad things happen when Dahlia isn’t well. She was supposed to watch him that day Jaylen got burned. He pulled the water down on himself. Monty has been trying to protect Dahlia.
Dahlia was trying to find a way to get Monty back into her family’s life. She wanted to be a family again, and she told her parents that she wanted to reconcile. The money she sent her friend was for a house for all of them.
They finally figure everything out, and Trent tackles him from out of nowhere and wants to arrest him. But they all stand u for Monty and say no crime was committed today.

Dahlia’s parents hired Dahlia’s doctor, Bradshaw, to corroborate the abuse. Bradshaw said Dahlia was in crisis. They theorize that Dahlia may have checked herself into a facility to get help.
They find her at a treatment facility. She says that she hid Jaylen from her parents. Trent brings Monty to reunite with Dahlia. Norma had Jaylen, and they brought him in to reunite with his family. Lacey offers to help with the courts. Norma apologizes to Monty.

Monty says that he’s ready to go back in because he knows he committed a crime, and he can’t be with his family without a clean slate. He thanks Gabi and acknowledges that she’s changed.
Margaret tells Gabi that she knows Heather is Sir’s sister, Lena. She says the familial traits are there. Heather has been the accomplice the whole time. Gabi doesn’t know what they’re going to do next, but she wants to take her down.
Margaret goes to speak to Sir again. She says she would never sacrifice her best friend for information from him. She tells Sir that she’s onto him and threatens him.

He tells her not to worry and that the clouds will part eventually. Margaret is familiar with this phrase. He says Jamie told him his mother would say that to him, but he meant the woman who kept him.
Margaret goes home to look through photo albums as Sir has triggered something in her.
Gabi is at the office with Heather up on the screen, studying her. She’s ready to take her down.
Over to you, Found Fanatics.
