Champagne bottles are probably popping open at Fox right about now.

The reboot pulled in 6.1 million multi-platform viewers (including live+3 and on-demand via Hulu and Fox).
The 18-49 demo was also strong, with a 2.1 rating. As things stand now, BH90210 is the #1 summer series premiere in more than two years (since World of Dance, which pulled in a 3.

Time will tell whether the series will keep up the pace, but the good news is that reaction has been mostly positive.
Let's take a look at some of the TV Fanatic favorites to assess how they are faring this summer season.
Yellowstone
The series is drawing rave reviews from TV Fanatic's Carissa Pavlica, and it remains a bonafide hit in its second season.

Yellowstone Season 2 is up 30 percent year-to-year in live+same day figures. It is currently averaging 2.3 million total viewers and a 0.5 rating.
In live+7, however, these numbers are catapulting around 200%, with some episodes reaching a 1.3 rating.
It makes sense then that the show has already been renewed for a third season.
Grand Hotel
Grand Hotel Season 1 is averaging 3 million total viewers and a 0.6 rating in live+same day. It is getting decent gains of around 60 percent when live+7 is factored in.

While those numbers may seem decent for summer, we need to take into consideration that the show lost a lot from lead-in, The Bachelorette, which averaged 5.8 million total viewers and a 1.5 rating this summer.
ABC has yet to renew or cancel Grand Hotel, but Karey Burke recently said that she wished the numbers were higher.
That may not bode well for a Season 2 renewal, but if the show manages to hold up well with a softer lead-in that will be a different story.
Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom is already renewed for Season 5, but the series has lost some ground, at least in live+SD.

Animal Kingdom Season 4 is averaging 1.2 million total viewers and a 0.3 rating. However, the series is scoring increases of around 130% in the demo and 100% in total viewers. In a word? Solid.
Queen of the South
This drama series is also on the downside. It is currently averaging 0.9 million viewers and a 0.3 rating, but the ratings are doubling with a week of DVR factored in.
Big Brother
Reality staple, Big Brother, is showing its age, but it still remains a top performer. It is hovering around the 4 million/1.1 18-49 demo mark, which means the series is down around 25% year-to-year.

While those drops may sound severe, the show remains a top summer series and actually garners a lot of viewing post-airdate.
In live+7, it is increasing by over 50% in the demo, while also securing gains of around 40% in total viewers. Those are very solid ratings.
