This is a scene-by-scene recap of Found Season 2 Episode 15.

We open with Trent running through the park while thinking about everything Sir told him about his father and the case of all of those missing children back in the 80s.

Trent is running like he’s trying to outrun his thoughts. Something that Heather notices when she catches up to him and inquires about where his head is and how he’s doing.

(Mark Hill/NBC)

She surmises that he’s thinking about Sir and says she has to get back to a case. She tells him that she’s there to talk whenever he needs to do so, and she calls him out jokingly on ambitious women triggering him.

Heather says she has something to tell him about Sir, but they never get to it. They kiss and he keeps on running, leaving her to go back to work.

At Zeke’s place, Lacey is studying and Zeke shows up with food for her. She’s grateful but then feels bad that she’s disrupting his sleep schedule. She starts talking to him about trying to figure out why she’s still living in his house.

She feels like she’s been imposing since her concussion, and she wants to give him his space, especially if she’s intervening with Shelly, which he says there’s nothing there with Shelly.

(Mark Hill/NBC)

Trent goes to speak to Gabi about the seven missing children and how it’s haunting him. He wants the families to have closure and his father to be in trouble if he did wrong.

He asks Gabi for help. She tells him that she needs full transparency and her no communication with Sir is still in place. She takes Trent on as a client and warns him that everything can change depending on what they found.

2010 One Week Since Jamie’s Disappearance

Margaret is still obsessing over Jamie. Her husband finds her with a list of their close friends and family, whom she thinks may be behind Jamie’s disappearance. Margaret’s actions upset her husband.

She figures that the kidnapper had a key.

(Matt Miller/NBc)

Margaret checks in with Jamie and sees him drawing. He sketched a picture of her that’s perfect and her likeness, and she tries to probe at where he may have learned it.

They have their meeting in the room to talk about Lawrence and the other missing kids. Lawrence’s mother got deported to Haiti and then died.

They identified another Enrico “Teddy” Teodoro. Gabi enlists Trent to go with her to speak to Janet, the reporter who discussed the disappearances many years ago.

She says she can never forget Lawrence Johnson because his mother came to her for help. She shares that she spoke to Trent’s father, James Trent, and that Trent Sr. said off-record that other children had gone missing.

(Mark Hill/NBC)

Janet shares that Lawrence’s brother had an issue, too, and almost went missing.

While Gabi is speaking with Janet, Sir calls her, then Trent when she ignores the call. She answers Trent’s and Sir figures out that it’s her and tries to get her to come see him.

Lacey is confused that Sir knew about Gabi’s presence. Gabi learns that someone said they were getting tipped off about Gabi. Trent and Lacey think it was Christian’s last assignment before he died, but Gabi seems doubtful.

They find out about the abduction of another child at the school, Alejandra. Lacey found out that the principal of the school was raising a stink about undocumented kids at his school and that’s the connection with all the kids.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

Gabi and Trent speak to the principal. He said he initially spoke out because his school was already underserved, and he didn’t know if these kids would require more resources, but they were all brilliant. He speaks fondly of them.

They were all prodigies.

He says his school became a darker place without all of the children when they went missing.

Margaret, Lacey, and Zeke identified the other missing three kids, and they’re all children with undocumented parents.

Zeke tracked down one of the parents who lost her child 39 years ago. She’s back in the country legally. Before she got deported, her daughter went missing.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

She shares that she spoke to Trent Sr. She’s been searching for her daughter for the past ten years and knows she’s still alive.

Margaret is worried that Jamie hasn’t come back to the agency.

Dhan returns with new information. He has all the case files and photos and the only other prints outside of Trent and Sir’s are James Trent’s because Sir stole them from his apartment, which is what James says when he shows up at the agency.

Trent Sr. explains his involvement with the case. He had a suspect, Walter Dawkins, who worked at a toy store that Adam, Lawrence’s brother also had an incident at.

Trent Sr. said they didn’t find anything about the abductions, but they got Walter for cocaine possession and put him away. Trent Sr says Mallory is annoyed that they’re looking into the case.

(Mark Hill/NBC)

Dhan and Zeke are working from their end and Zeke tells Dhan that Lacey is moving out and he doesn’t want her to go. Zeke opens up about his feelings and how happy Lacey makes him.

Dhan shares that Ethan did the same thing to him, and advises Zeke not to let that go.

They watch footage of all the kids somewhere. They have to figure out whee and the connection.

Sir is pleased that someone is visiting him and is eager to see them, thinking it’s Gabi. But it’s not Gabi. It’s Heather.

It doesn’t appear they know each other. She introduces herself, and he says he knows who she is and expresses doubt about his brother shooting her.

( Matt Miller/NBC)

He asks what Heather wants, and she tells him to shut up and listen to her if he’s as smart as everyone says.

Mallory interviews Walter again and still accuses him of doing something to the kids. Walter is frustrated and insists he didn’t do anything to the kids and that no one is listening to him.

Trent intervenes and says he’ll listen and try to help. Walter talks about how Adam came to Walter because he was scared and a man told him he’d reunite him with his missing brother.

They hatched a plan to try to catch the guy, but Adam never came back. Walter never saw him again.

Mallory questions him about the drugs and comments that Walter will probably say the police planted them, and Walter asks to leave.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

They’re trying to figure out where the other seven kids are, and Gabi tells Zeke to run a facial recognition to update how the kids would look now as adults.

They want to figure out why the kids never reached out, and they want to have a press conference.

Lacey returns and tells Margaret that Jamie is back. Margaret tries to talk to Jamie again, who doesn’t understand why she keeps worrying about him every time he leaves.

He doesn’t feel as if he should ask her permission. He wanted to change clothes, but she noticed that they weren’t new clothes, they were ones he must’ve had already. It means he went back to the people who took them. Margaret is hurt.

We flash back to 2010 again.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

Others are trying to talk to Margaret, and we see the emergence of her Margaret vision as she zooms in on everything in the room and everyone around her, suspicious of everyone.

She sees a friend, Francine, giving her husband a key. She confronts her about it, having a key. Margaret makes a scene and her husband apologizes on her behalf.

Zeke and Dhan share the facial pics. They found their first missing kid, Adam. He’s an immigration lawyer who took on his brother’s name. He said many people helped take care of him, and he’s spent his life searching for his brother and missing him. He feels like there is a hole inside of him.

Adam confirms that Walter was only trying to help.

He says he doesn’t know the guy’s name who took him but remembers his face. Margaret suggests letting Jamie sketch what Adam describes. Jamie sketches a picture of the man in the background of one of the videos. Margaret recognizes it.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

Jamie is happy that others are congratulating him on his contribution.

Shane Ingrahm was in the picture. He made the program for kids to help them, but he was mostly targeting him. Shane is dead, but he was Janet the reporter’s husband.

Trent and Gabi go to talk to Janet again. She’s xenophobic and felt she was saving gifted kids from their home lives. She sold the children. Trent arrests her.

They track down most of the seven missing kids and the families. Gabi holds a press conference with Trent and Adam and photos of the aged-up kids. All the kids were told that their parents were deported and left them behind.

We see a kid watching the press conference. She calls her parents in, and her father is Lawrence. He sees his brother on television.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

They set up a party at M&A for everyone coming and the reunion. Lacey is so excited about it and adds everyone. Families reunite with their missing relatives.

Gabi tells Adam that they couldn’t contact Lawrence, but as she says this, Lawrence walks in with his family. The brothers finally reunite after decades and introduce their families to each other.

Dhan tells Gabi that they’re going to need a bigger wall.

Trent Sr. shows up at the event, and Gabi goes to speak to him. He admits, “mistakes were made,” and he never planted evidence. She tells him to talk to Trent about absolution and apologize to Walter if he wants. He leaves.

Walter goes to speak to Adam who thanks him and says he saved his life and has thought of him this whole time.

In the flashbacks, Margaret wants to head the station. There is tension between them, and she still will not give up on thinking someone they know took Jamie.

(Matt Miller/NBC)

Margaret speaks to Jamie in the present. He talks about how incredible their worst is and he likes it.

Margaret tells Jamie that she can’t keep doing this with him not telling her who took him. She mentions how that case, the adoptive parents were criminals and knew they did something wrong. She begs him to tell her who took him.

He says he can’t say who “she” is and Jamie has her first clue that the person who took him is a woman. He leaves, and Margaret mulls over that new bit of information.

At Zeke’s place, Lacey has her bag, and she’s ready to leave. Zeke inquires if she’s sure she wants to, and they dance round the idea of her leaving. She hugs him, and finally steps out the door with her suitcase. She waits for a beat, and just as she’s about to leave, Zeke reaches outside, pulls her back inside and kisses her. They continue to kiss.

Trent goes to see Sir, ready to gloat about finding all the kids without him. He tells him that his family’s legacy is still intact.

Sir gives Trent a letter to read to Gabrielle. In it, Sir congratulates her for solving the case and later says that if she wants to know the truth about the Trent family legacy, she’s on the right path.

Trent is having a hard time with Gabi.
(Matt Miller/NBC)

Sir rattles Trent. But he’s further discombobulated when Heather walks in the door. He asks what she’s doing there, and she says she told him she had something to tell him.

Trent tells Gabi that Heather is representing Sir and even lobbied to be on the case. Gabi says that it is brilliant. He admits that he saw Sir and then lies about the letter and what Sir said. He pushes it deeper into his back pocket out of sight.
